Here we are, my brother and I, at A Coruña Airport. See, I’ve been frequenting airports since I was very little. My brother was on his way to New York, where we were all moving to. My parents and I followed a couple of months later.
My brother was instrumental in my training as a Hopper, since he was 11 years older than I, and in my early years, we traveled quite a bit together. I learned soooo many things from him, including how to pack a suitcase, LOL!
Sadly, he passed away in 2007, but I keep learning from him. I’ve learned that life is unpredictable, and when you get the chance to do something important, just do it. Tomorrow things may change and you won’t get that chance again.
Fear is tricky. Our fears can be paralyzing and fill our minds with fuzzy messages. Instead, use that energy to work hard and reach your objectives. It’s incredible what we can achieve when life puts us in a difficult situation. Make use of these situations to mature and become stronger.
Thank you “Broder” for teaching me by example. You were so brave and always made me feel so loved.
